After living here for 13 years, I've come to love this country as my own (Venezuela) and really enjoy sharing my knowledge on the Irish history and culture. Nowadays, I live in Cobh and definitely came here to stay. Besides having stunning scenery worthy of countless social-media posts, Cobh is one of the most important and interesting local attractions I love to show my guests: its historic links to the Titanic and Lusitania make it a must-see in Cork and Ireland. Painting, writing, travelling and making music are some of the things I like to do during my free time. I also enjoy translating books and documents on Irish history because this is a great way to gain more knowledge. Upon moving to Ireland, I've specialised in tourism for large and small groups. In 2021, I became a certified national tourist guide. I like responding to questions as they usually bring up interesting stories from our rich Island history which also has various deep connections with far flung parts of the Globe. I am an O'Drisceoil, sharing the main Island surname from the ancient O'Driscoll Clan which ruled these parts for 600 years or so. I am deeply involved in INIS, Cape Clear Island & Fastnet Heritage Center. I am a regular guide with visiting bus tours and also play Irish traditional music regularly with the locals. I am a fluent daily Irish speaker, with a good knowledge of the more famous publications from the Island and regularly publish heritage themed articles on local websites and social media. I grew up on the Dingle Peninsula then moved between the cities of Limerick, Dublin and Cork for work after College. ( I have an honours degree in Economics and Sociology from UCC).
