Cead Mile Failte - One Hundred Thousand Welcomes :) Hi ladies and gents abroad and a warm welcome to my profile page here. My name is Cathy and I am an Irish born and bred tour guide based in our beautiful capital city, Dublin. I have been in the travel industry for over 20 years now and have worked as both a world wide travel manager for a large American company and also as a host and tour guide across Ireland and Europe for the past 8 years. Having worked and travelled quite extensively in the past, I have had the great pleasure of meeting a number of different nationalities and experienced their cultures It has been a great experience for me to work with so many different types of people from young children to the more mature folks enjoying their retirement years Nowadays however, my greatest joy is to show off my own beautiful city and country to all of you from around the world I am always delighted to meet and engage with new people and show them the very best of this lovely little country and help them make memories that will last a life time I am a very friendly and fun but sincere person and I aim to give my guests interesting but fun tours during their time in the city or country I am always open to reworking tours and tweaking or designing new tours to satisfy what any particular individual or group is interested in too and this has made me a popular guide here in Ireland I am like most Irish people in that I do not over brag about myself but I can say with honesty that I am a genuinely professional guide who wants nothing but my groups to home happy and fully satisfied that they have been shown a good time and had lots of fun with me during their time in Ireland If you want to get in touch with me to arrange or book a tour or discuss and preferences or things you would like to do here that are specific, please feel free to email me and I will get back to you promptly Bye for now - my friends to come :) Cathy

John Britton – Ormonde Language Tours Hello, I’m John Britton, founder and guide of Ormonde Language Tours in Kilkenny. I was born and raised in County Kilkenny, and I run a small independent walking tour company offering story-driven tours of the city. My goal is to give visitors a clear and engaging introduction to Kilkenny, helping you understand how the city developed from a Norman stronghold into the modern Irish city you see today. I lead every tour myself and keep groups small so the experience remains relaxed, personal, and interactive. As we walk through the streets of Kilkenny, I connect the buildings and landmarks you see with the people, events, and changes that shaped the city over more than 800 years. One of the unique aspects of my tours is that they can be delivered entirely in English, French, or German, allowing international visitors to explore Kilkenny’s history in their own language. I hold a Certificate in National Tour Guiding, a BA (Honours) in Language Studies, and a Diploma in International Hotel Management. Before becoming a tour guide, I spent over 20 years working in hospitality, including time in hotels in Ireland, the UK, Switzerland, and France. My aim is to offer visitors a welcoming and informative introduction to Kilkenny — the perfect starting point before exploring the city further on your own.
